Effect of inlet conditions on the flow and heat transfer in a flat diffuser

The effect of the intensity and scale of turbulence generated by a nozzle at the inlet to a flat diffuser on the flow and heat transfer characteristics is considered for a number of values of the diffuser opening angle and Reynolds numbers. Numerical modeling was carried out using a three-parameter differential RANS turbulence model supplemented with a transport equation for a turbulent heat flow. The calculation results are compared with known experimental data.
